Star Wars fans have long wanted to see a movie based on the rouge character created by Harrison Ford and it looks like they will.
Directors Christopher Miller and Phil Lord, makers of the Lego movie, will be behind the camera in the planned Disney project.
The Hollywood Reporter writes, "Lawrence Kasdan and Jon Kasdan are writing the script with the project, now set for a May 25, 2018, release."
Ford returns as Solo this December when the latest movie in the franchise, “The Force Awakens” debuts this Christmas. It will mark the first time the iconic actor has donned the familiar black vest since “Return of the Jedi” in 1983.
The BBC reports, "no details or casting has been yet been announced, but the script will be written by father and son team Lawrence and Jon Kasdan."
The movie doesn’t have a title yet but a proposed released date of May 25th,, 2018 has been announced.
