Kenny Chesney barely had time to take a breath after his wildly successful run on the Big Revival 2015 tour before he started looking forward to 2016 and an artist he says he has always felt passionate about.

Miranda Lambert.

It was announced Sept. 15 that Lambert is set to join Chesney on tour in 2016, specifically on a set of stadium tour dates next year. You may recall that Lambert joined Chesney on June 6 at Soldier Field in Chicago in which they collaborated to sing “You And Tequila” and a cover of George Strait’s “Carried Away.”

“Miranda is the real deal,” Chesney says in a recent press release. “She’s a songwriter, first, and a real vocalist. She’s puts it all out there when she’s on stage, and I loved touring with her so much in 2009, I can’t believe it’s taken us this long to get her back out here – because I love every single thing about who she is as an artist and a person.”

Joining Chesney and Lambert will be rising stars Sam Hunt, who has scored No. 1 hits such as “Leave The Night On,” “Take Your Time” and “House Party”; and Old Dominion, who previously joined Chesney as an opener earlier this year.
