A cavalcade of stars from Gloria Estefan to Whoopi Goldberg to Dan Marino to Tyler Perry will converge at the Georgia World Congress Center in October for the bi-annual Life @ 50+ National Event & Expo.

Every evening of the event, which runs Oct. 3-5, will wrap with a concert.

On Oct. 3, Regina Bella, Dottie Peoples, Kathy Taylor and the Atlanta Praise will close with an inspirational show.

Oct. 4 will bring a dance party with the Happy Together Tour — the Turtles featuring Flo & Eddie and former Three Dog Night-er Chuck Negron.

And on Oct. 5, Estefan will take the stage to close the weekend of events.

The Expo launches the morning of October 3 with Miami Dolphins legend Marino, CBS Sports newscaster James “J.B.” Brown and relationship expert Dr. Pepper Schwartz hitting various locales around the city for community team building events.

The conference at the Georgia Dome begins on October 4 with Goldberg and Perry and will also include panels from AARP Financial Ambassador Jean Chatzky and the AARP Movies for Grownups Film Festival with an appearance by actor Andy Garcia. Seminars throughout the event focus on finances, family, health, finding success and travel. Estefan’s husband, Emilio, will lead a session on “finding one’s own rhythm.”

Guests on October 5 include Martina Navratilova, who will kick off the morning with a fitness session, and a capella ensemble Sweet Honey in the Rock. The group is part of the “Celebrate 50 Years of a Dream” session, which will also include comedian/activist Dick Gregory, former Atlanta Mayor Andrew Young and former NAACP Chairman Julian Bond.

The film festival continues with a screening of “My Father and the Man in Black,” a documentary about Johnny Cash directed by Jonathan Holiff (the son of Cash’s former manager), and “Muhammad Ali’s Greatest Fight,” starring Ed Begley, Jr. Both Holiff and Begley will make special appearances at the screenings.

Tickets to the event are $25 for AARP members and $35 for non-members. The entry fee includes access to the exhibit floor, the opening show and all workshops and sessions for all three days. Non-member registration includes a one-year membership to AARP.
