Lady Gaga engaged to Taylor Kinney with heart-shaped ring

Lady Gaga announced Monday that boyfriend Taylor Kinney had proposed on Valentine’s Day with a heart-shaped ring.

Times Herald-Record Executive Editor Barry Lewis said he was at the Joanne Trattoria, Gaga's parents' restaurant on the Upper West Side of Manhattan, when the engagement happened and Gaga showed off the ring.

“I was finishing off my plate of spaghetti and meatballs, when my wife Bonnie, enjoying a seafood special, noticed a pretty woman sporting platinum blond hair (ed. note: Gaga had recently changed to a brunette hairdo; Lewis thinks this was a wig) and a strapless dress - despite bone-chilling temperatures - walk into the restaurant at about 6:45 Saturday night, taking a seat at the small bar, located at the front of the restaurant, just a few short feet away from our table,” Lewis wrote.

Lady Gaga and Kinney have been dating for about four years. Gaga is 28 years old.
