“Visiting Mr. Green” at North DeKalb Cultural Center
Stage Door Players allows a pair of actors to bring this comedy/drama to life. When the elderly Mr. Green (Theo Harness) aimlessly walks into the middle of New York City traffic, trouble ensues. The bustling Ross (Chad Martin) nearly hits the recent widower with his car and is given a sentence of community service. The job? He must help the senior citizen he nearly squashed. Although they bump heads out of the gate, the pair unexpectedly come to each other’s aid.

Fifth Annual Father/Daughter Valentine Dance at Peachtree Point at Lake Lanier Islands
Dads or those who have a special young lady in their life are invited to help make memories at this Valentine-themed event organized by the Kiwanis Club of North Gwinnett. Daughters of all ages are welcome, whether they’ve recently taken their first steps or have journeyed well into adulthood. It’s not restricted to dads, either, as father figures, including stepfathers, grandpas, uncles and role models, can participate. Dress snazzy and choose from two dances, both featuring an eclectic family-friendly soundtrack. A professional photographer will offer packages starting at $10.

Atlanta’s Exotic Bird Fair at North Atlanta Trade Center
This event returns to spread its wings for bird owners and those who want to be. Canaries, cockatiels, finches and a host of other birds will be available for purchase. Hunt and peck for the perfect bird, or simply window shop. Whatever a bird owner needs will be for sale, including everything from feed to medicines to toys. Experts and breeders will put a little birdie in your ear with a host of advice. Tickets include both days.
