Dateline reported that the channel, which originally aired the series from 1983 to 1987, will be on HBO's TV and internet platforms.

"Fraggle Rock" ran for 96 episodes and five seasons. It followed Fraggles, Doozers and Gorgs, puppet creatures from the mind of Jim Henson, which played various genres of music, including folk, rock, country, gospel and blues.

"In remastering the series, illuminate has created a contemporary look for the series with meticulous attention paid to every detail — sharpening the images, cleaning up the contrast, increasing the vibrancy of the colors and reformatting for wide-screen — all under the careful supervision of Brian Henson," Richard Goldsmith, executive vice president of global distribution for The Jim Henson Co., said in a statement to Entertainment Weekly. "We'll engage a whole new audience who will love meeting the Fraggles, Gorgs and Doozers."

"Fraggle Rock" will return at the end of the year. In the meantime, enjoy the opening theme in the video below.
