TGIT?

There's less than 24 hours standing between you and the weekend. That is cause for a celebration.

Unwind from work by deciding how you should spend the next few days with the help of our top picks for things to do around metro Atlanta this weekend:

SCAD FASH celebrates anniversary

Celebrate the one-year anniversary of SCAD FASH Museum of Fashion and Film on Oct. 1. The teaching museum is offering free admission on this day, making it the perfect opportunity to view their “Refined Irreverence” exhibit featuring more than 75 garments showcasing the work of Carolina Herrera.

10 a.m. Oct. 1. Free. SCAD FASH Museum of Fashion and Film, 1600 Peachtree St., Atlanta. scadfash.org.

Many Rivers to Cross

Festival organizers have added $40 dollar two-day passes for fans who are hoping to get equal doses of music (T.I., Macklemore, Aloe Blacc, Public Enemy and more), speeches on social justice (Jesse Williams and Danny Glover and more).

Sankofa.org, a Harry Belafonte-founded social justice organization, is producing the event.

Noon. Oct. 1-2. $40-$350. Bouckaert Farm, 9445 Brown Lake Road, Fairburn. Manyriversfestival.com.

Charlie Puth

In just two years New Jersey singer Charlie Puth has racked up a series of hits that have helped him to cultivate a dedicated fan base. From Puth’s seductive collaboration with Meghan Trainor (“Marvin Gaye”) to his contribution to the somber ode to actor Paul Walker (“See You Again”) and his more recent single, a reflective duet with Selena Gomez about a couple who has gone their separate ways, the singer has  provided a hit for every emotional state.

Final Game at Turner Field

Atlanta Braves fans will have one last opportunity to see the team play at Turner Field before they head to SunTrust Park next season. At this point, "standing-room only" tickets are the only tickets still available for the Oct. 2 game against the Detroit Tigers. Tickets are $20 and don't include an assigned seat. Instead, fans will be placed in a designated standing area.

3:10 p.m. Oct. 2. $20. Turner Field, 755 Hank Aaron Drive, Atlanta. Braves.com/tickets.

Out on Film

Atlanta’s oldest LGBT film festival will once again offer eight days of screenings. About 100 feature films, documentaries and short films will play at the Landmark Midtown Art Cinema Sept. 29-Oct. 6. Festival pass are $160. You can also see three films for $30 or pay $11 for individual screenings. Tickets will go on sale Sept. 1.
