An Atlanta resident for more than a decade, jazz guitarist Earl Klugh has signed up for a three-year collaboration with Georgia Tech’s Ferst Center for the Arts.
In announcing its 2013-14 season, the performing arts center said that Klugh, a 12-time Grammy nominee known for his melodic acoustic tone, will perform concerts each of the next three seasons as well as teach master classes at Tech and workshops at K-12 partner schools.
Klugh’s first concert, on April 12, 2014, is being billed as “A Night of Guitars,” exploring his influences and featuring the Detroit native performing in solo, duet, trio and full-band settings.
The Ferst Presents series, the performing arts center’s 22nd, is a signature mix of jazz, other music genres and contemporary dance:
