The Houston area has barely had a chance to take stock of the damage done by Hurricane Harvey, and now the nation is bracing itself for what is expected to be one of the most powerful hurricanes ever.
As many did (and continue to do) with Hurricane Harvey relief, Atlanta restaurants are looking for ways to help Hurricane Irma victims and those taking refuge in the area:
Nakato, located at 1776 Cheshire Bridge Road in Atlanta, is offering 25 percent off checks for everyone showing a Florida's driver license and their entire dinner party from tonight through Tuesday night.
Concentrics Restaurants is offering 20 percent off all food and beverage for anyone showing a drivers license from Florida, or coastal Georgia or South Carolina. Participating restaurants include ONE Midtown Kitchen, TWO Urban Licks, TAP and The Brasserie and Neighborhood Cafe at Parish.
The Mercuryat Ponce City Market and The Pinewood in Decatur are offering an "evacuation special" half off the first round of drinks for anyone showing a Florida ID through Sunday, and all proceeds from Hurricane cocktails will go toward Hurricane Harvey relief efforts. Both locations are also offering free hugs.
