A local food festival will showcase Asian cuisine and chefs, while benefiting Asian Americans Advancing Justice - Atlanta.

The SouthEATS Food Festival and Benefit will take place May 25 at Monday Night Brewing. May is Asian-Pacific American Heritage Month.

The three-hour event will showcase chefs of Asian-American descent and restaurants that serve Asian cuisine. The festival was curated by We Love Buhi.

"We’re thrilled to showcase the phenomenal talent of Atlanta’s Asian-American chefs and restaurateurs, many of whom are immigrants or the children of immigrants, and their vital and innovative contributions to Atlanta’s culinary and economic scene, from Buford Highway to the Beltline,” Marian Liou, We Love Buhi founder, said.

Asian Americans Advancing Justice is a “nonprofit organization dedicated to protecting and promoting the civil, social and economic rights of Asian-Americans through public policy, legal services and civic engagement," according to a press release.

All proceeds from this event will benefit the organization.
