If you thought the Williams-Sonoma store at the Avenue East Cobb was packed with goodies, wait until you see the new location. The store, known for its selection of premier kitchen equipment and gadgetry, recently relocated to a space twice the size of the previous location. So now there's even a bigger selection of stainless steel kitchen tools, espresso machines and imported knives — and that's just the tip of the inventory. Along with merchandise, the store features culinary classes at different times throughout the year.

Hours are 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Saturday, and noon to 6 p.m. Sunday. The store is located at 4475 Roswell Road; 678-560-3660.

• Here's another way to beat the heat, at least on Wednesdays. The area's TCBY stores are offering waffle cones filled with frozen yogurt for just 99 cents, down from their usual $3. Drop by during store hours on Wednesdays for your favorite, or try the seasonal Smart Blueberry Sundae flavor with fewer than 300 calories. Find a TCBY in your neighborhood by visiting www.tcby.com.

• So many folks showed up for the Blues, Brews and BBQ event in June at South City Kitchen that the restaurant's owners have decided to keep the good times rolling. The barbecue specials held at 6 p.m. Aug. 17 and Sept. 21 will be served with the bluesy sounds of the Breeze Kings. Dine on a variety of barbecue favorites, along with sides and dessert for $19.95, $12.95 for children younger than 12. South City sits at 1675 Cumberland Parkway; 770-435-0700.

• There's more chicken on the Smyrna dining scene for those in a hurry. The latest outlet for El Pollo Loco, a locally owned franchise that arrived on the metro scene late last year, is now open for business at 2521 Cobb Parkway. The fast-casual concept specializes in chicken, using it in nachos, burritos, tacos, quesadillas, crunchy and soft tacos and Caesar salads. Guests can top their choice with one of four sauces: salsa, pico de gallo, chipotle or a spicy avocado. Hours are 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily; 770-612-3184.

• If you're a fan of the tacos, margaritas and ambience at Pure Taqueria in Roswell, you'll be buoyed by the news that there will be more of the same opening across the metro area in the next five years. Pure's owners recently signed a deal to clone the concept in Cobb, Forsyth, DeKalb, Fulton and Gwinnett. The first of the new bunch is slated to open in the historic downtown district of Duluth early next year.
