Lovers of beans and booze -- there's an event just for you, and it's happening in Decatur this next weekend.
Writer, photographer and food maven Pableaux Johnson is bringing his Red Beans Road Show to Bonanza, the special events space inside Kimball House, at 6:30 p.m. this Sunday, July 24. The pop-up series with New Orleans roots pairs Johnson with a local host chef in each city.
This weekend's installment will feature starters and a "mystery sweet" from Kimball House Chef Jeffery Wall, red beans and rice (vegan and vegetarian beans are available upon request), cornbread, punch by Miles Macquarrie and beer from Athens brewery Creature Comforts.
