You don’t have to be a cocktail connoisseur to try these drinks, newly created for the fall. From twists on classics to new mixes made to please the palate, each drink offers another opportunity—or round—for cheers.
Southern Art & Bourbon Bar: If a cocktail could transcend state lines, it would be this: the Manhattan Redemption. Ideal for autumn, the aforementioned is made with Redemption Rye and paired with Carpano Antica vermouth, cherry vanilla bitters and Angostura bitters. For a twist, it's topped with a rye cherry.
Atlanta Grill: Since this is pumpkin season, it's perfectly appropriate to create a cocktail called Pumpkin Royale, which features Ron Abuelo Anejo rum, St. Elizabeth Allspice Dram and pumpkin shrub.
American Food and Beverage: This restaurant's drink, The Jitterbug, just sounds like a party for your palate. It's a deep-flavored cocktail featuring Ron Zacapa 23 year-aged rum, St. George coffee liqueur and Carpano Antica sweet vermouth plus a touch of caramel from Demarera syrup and walnut and chocolate bitters. A Luxardo cherry adds garnish.
Miller Union: This New American eatery is offering the Southern Son, a strong, but simple mix of 12-year-old bourbon, house vanilla bitters and maple shrub.
Studio Bar & Cocktail Garden: Located in the Artmore Hotel, this contemporary lounge added several fun-themed drinks for the season including the Scarlett O'Hara, a simple and sassy blend of southern bourbon, cranberry and lime; cider sangria, made with Angry Orchard hard cider, lemon juice and apple brandy; and a pear martini, delicate blend of Absolut Pear, simple syrup, lemon juice and pear puree.
Ray's on the River: A few four to six weeks branded five-liter barrel-aged cocktails are available this autumn. This includes a barrel-aged Old Fashion with Jefferson's Bourbon and a barrel-aged Manhattan with Templeton Rye.
Fandangles: Hot and inspired by Scotty, this restaurant recently started offering a new drink called Beam Me Up Toddy. It's a mix of pumpkin, orange-infused Jim Beam, cinnamon, clove-infused brandy, orange, apple bitters, Earl Grey tea and honey.
