The August heat will be a bit more bearable if you have some exciting Fridays to look forward to. At Fleming's Prime Steakhouse, 4501 Olde Perimeter Way, each Friday in the month will feature a wine dinner, starting at 7 p.m. The series kicks off tomorrow with a five-course menu paired with vintages from Cakebread Cellars. Dine on salmon bruschetta, salad, a petite tenderloin, ribeye and cheesecake. Reservations are $125. Ensuing Friday night dinners will showcase the wines of Tiger Mountain Vineyards in North Georgia, vintages from Bordeaux and Italy, and a surprise list. • Here's another way to beat the heat, at least on Wednesdays. The area's TCBY stores are offering waffle cones filled with frozen yogurt for 99 cents, down from their usual $3. • If you're a fan of the tacos, margaritas and ambience at Pure Taqueria in Roswell, there will be more of the same opening across the metro area in the next five years. Pure's owners recently signed a deal to clone the concept in Forsyth, Cobb, DeKalb, Fulton and Gwinnett. The first of the new bunch is slated to open in the historic downtown district of Duluth early next year.

• See a show, save on dinner at YellowFin Chop House, 10595 Old Alabama Connector Road in Alpharetta. Bring in your show tickets before heading to the Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre and receive a free cocktail or appetizer. And if your show is on Monday, you're in luck — the restaurant just started opening for dinner on the first day of the week, when all wines by the glass are half off. The rest of the week features half-priced wine bottles on Tuesday and half-priced martinis and appetizers on Wednesday. 770-587-4121;

• There's a new general manager at Toni's Casa Napoli, and Santiago Gomez, a veteran of several area eateries, has added some new dishes to the summer menu. Look for appetizers of mussels, clams and scallops in white wine sauce; a salad with sliced conch in an onion and tomato dressing; and three entrees: sea scallops in a creamy onion and tomato sauce; grilled veal chop with garlic, capers, anchovies, olives and chili peppers; and chicken with oregano, mozzarella and Parmesan cheese. There's a classical guitarist in the house each Friday and Saturday to enhance your dining experience.
