Davio's Northern Italian Steakhouse: Davio's chef/owner Steve DiFillippo, executive chef Timothy Magee and guest chef LuAnn Farrell will all roll up their sleeves for Davio's Cooks for Charity, a special dining evening featuring hand-rolled potato gnocchi with organic mushrooms, basil and white truffle oil. Diners can enjoy this pawsta party specialty from 6-9 p.m. Wednesday, April 27 at Davio's. All proceeds from the dish will be donated to Angels Among Us Pet Rescue.

Tavernpointe and Ballast Point Brewing Company: Guests will be invited to enjoy passed bites, a five-course meal and dessert along with several IPAs from Ballast Point during a spring spirit and beer dinner pairing at 6:30 p.m. Wednesday, April 27 at Tavernpointe. Smokebelly BBQ: During Dollar Down Thursdays, $1 will buy an eight-ounce draft Bud Light, a Miller High Life pony beer or one of Smokebelly's pulled pork sliders. The dollar deals will able available from 5-7 p.m.; live acoustics will take center stage on the patio from 6-9 p.m too.

Georgia Aquarium: Sample signature fare and spirits from over 50 of metro Atlanta's premier restaurants, enjoy silent and beverage auctions, wine tastings and live entertainment during Atlanta's Taste of the Nation for No Kid Hungry from 6-10 p.m. Thursday, April 28 at the Georgia Aquarium. Honorary chef Marc Murphy of Landmarc Restaurant Group and Food Network's "Chopped" will lead the event. Participating restaurants include Bistro Niko, 1Kept and Umi Sushi among others. 8/26/17 - Atlanta, GA - Georgia leaders, including Gov. Nathan Deal, Sandra Deal, members of the King family, and Rep. Calvin Smyre,  were on hand for unveiling of the first statue of Martin Luther King Jr. on Monday at the statehouse grounds, more than three years after Gov. Nathan Deal first announced the project.  During the hour-long ceremony leading to the unveiling of the statue of Martin Luther King Jr. at the state Capitol on Monday, many speakers, including Gov. Nathan Deal, spoke of King's biography.
