David Lynch has left Showtime's 'Twin Peaks" reboot, citing money as the reason for not being part of the updated show.
“I left because not enough money was offered to do the script the way I felt it needed to be done,” Lynch tweeted Sunday night.

The nine-episode season was planned for 2016, Showtime officials said in October.
"We were saddened to read David Lynch's statement today, since we believed we were working towards solutions with David and his reps on the few remaining deal points," Showtime officials wrote in a statement to the Hollywood Reporter.
Kyle MacLachlan, who starred in the original series, is scheduled to star in the updated series.
Lynch spent the weekend calling actors involved with the show letting them know he would not be directing anymore.
“I love the world of 'Twin Peaks' and wish things could have worked out differently,” Lynch tweeted.
