Conway Savage, the pianist for Nick Cave & the Bad Seeds, died Saturday.
Savage was 58. The cause of death was a brain tumor, Pitchfork reported.
The band confirmed Savage's death with a message on the band's website. Savage was described as having a "golden voice" and being the "anarchic thread" during the band's live performances. Savage, a band member for nearly 30 years, played the organ and provided backup vocals, in addition to playing piano.
Savage, an Australian native, released several collaborative and solo records during his career.
