Marcus Grimmie, the brother of Christina Grimmie, the singer killed while signing autographs after a performance in Orlando, Florida, said Adam Levine has stepped in to pay for her funeral.
Levine was the late singer's coach when she was a contestant on the singing competition show "The Voice" in 2014.
The singer was shot by Kevin James Loibl, 27, who traveled to Orlando to confront her.
Marcus Grimme tackled Loibl and the gunman then shot himself.
Brian Teefey, Christina Grimmie's manager, set up a GoFundMe page to help with funeral costs for his client and to help her family move out of its home.
Marcus Grimmie said he was shocked when he woke up to see the page surpassed its $4,000 goal and raised $169,513 in four days.
He also got word that Levine would pay for the funeral.
"I found out this morning, that Adam Levine personally called my mother and said he will pay for the funeral and her plane flight, and I was blown away," Marcus Grimmie said in a Facebook post Sunday.
In response to the news, Marcus Grimmie asked that people don't have to donate if they can't or don't want to.
"Just leave a kind word, message or picture in the comments or message me and sign this change.org petition to help Christina possible be remembered in the next legend of Zelda game, her favorite game of all time," he said on Facebook.
