In 2013, doctors discovered that Angelil's cancer had returned.
"It was our wedding anniversary. ... I saw him looking pretty devastated and shocked. And I was like, 'What's going on?' And he said, "I have cancer again.' ... My heart started to beat faster, but my body shut off," Dion told ABC in March.
Dion told ABC earlier this year that her husband is having trouble hearing after radiation treatments and now relies on a feeding tube.
Dion took time off from her residency at Las Vegas' Caesars Palace in July 2014 to care for Angelil and their three children. She plans to return to the stage in August.
Dion told People magazine that her husband is the reason why she's going to perform again: "He wants me to sing again, and I want to do this with him."
