EAST POINT

Outback Bikes Presents the Omnium at Dick Lane Velodrome

Don’t blink if you're at this event or you might miss some of the lightning fast cycling action like the two-man Madison. Organizers call it “tag-team on a bike.” Teammates trade positions at 40 mph by grasping hands and slinging the one cyclist in front of the other. The speedy Keirin event is straight out of the Olympics. Riders pace alongside a motorcycle until the final lap, when they go full blast to the finish line.

6 p.m. July 10. $5; families (two adults and unlimited children younger than 16) $10. Dick Lane Velodrome, 1889 Lexington Ave., East Point. 404-769-0012, www.dicklanevelodrome.com.
