If you like a good cocktail from time to time, you're not alone. The town gets turned up on weekend nights, and there's no better time to catch up with old friends than in the balmy Southern nights of summer. So get your Instagram filters ready and have an Uber driver ready, because the newest additions to the Atlanta food and drink scene will have you out late.
Grain
Grain is Midtown's favorite new bar. With a popular happy hour, a bar-first mentality and a respectable menu available all night (kitchen stays open until 2:30 a.m.), Grain is a hip new spot in an ambient old space. The patio is a beautiful place to enjoy an artful cocktail with friends.

Gypsy Kitchen
The bar at this Buckhead Atlanta spot is on and poppin'. The environmental elements that combine to form Gypsy Kitchen are a siren song for ladies in celebration mode. Combine a cocktail menu of sinfully sweet drinks with the old she-gaggle standby of tapas, put together in the midst of Buckhead and you've got a stew going, baby.

The Southern Gentleman
The male yang to Gypsy Kitchen's lady-tapas yin, Buckhead Atlanta's favorite new spot for the fellas is the gastropub, the Southern Gentleman. TSG is exactly what you would imagine it to be; a classy yet modern blend of Edison bulbs, Peachtree Street views, and artful bourbons mixed with a sophisticated touch.

Craft Izakaya
When you visit Craft Izakaya, you will find an artfully American twist on the standard Japanese sushi bar. The bar itself is perfectly situated for watching the swell of weekend patrons who've made Krog Street Market the white-hot place to be. The sushi is excellent (and available until 11:30 p.m.), while the custom cocktails are faithfully western with a Japanese twist. Izakaya patrons are treated to a tradition worth expanding when staff bring cotton candy in lieu of mints with the check.

Hop City Bar
As a general rule, any bar that serves as an addition to a package store is going to thrive on selection. Hop City delivers on exactly this front - the cast of draft beers is ever rotating and the choices are always well curated. Order from the corners of the bar - the set up can be confusing. Not that a little logistical uncertainty makes Hop City any less fun.
