This week’s weather likely put a damper on the spring break plans of many metro Atlanta families. Luckily, there are still a few more days left to have fun before school and another work week resumes on Monday.
And, if you’re hoping to have some fun without children, don’t worry. We have some suggestions for you, too.
From one of the most anticipated spring festivals in metro Atlanta to a comedy show, here are five things to do this weekend in metro Atlanta:
Atlanta Dogwood Festival
For 81 years, the Atlanta Dogwood Festival has offered an opportunity for attendees to peruse handmade jewelry, pottery, paintings, sculptures and more. In addition to fine art, the three-day festival will offer an opportunity to hear live music from jam bands, blues and pop musicians, among others.

“Festival of Laughs”
Comedians Mike Epps, Sommore, Bruce Bruce, Arnez J and Felipe Esparza will participate in “Festival of Laughs” on Friday at Philips Arena. Bring a friend and get ready to spend a few hours laughing until you cry.
