Aurora Theatre in Lawrenceville announced its coming season that includes stage hits, comedies and the return of its ever-popular “Christmas Canteen.”

It begins the season with the already announced “Les Misérables,” running July 25-Sept. 8. The Victor Hugo novel made more famous and timeless by the play and recent release of the movie tells the story of Jean Valjean and those associated with him during the French Revolution. It will feature Suzi Award winners Bryant Smith and Natasha Drena.

The players will present the regional premier of “All Childish Things” by Joseph Zettelmaier Oct. 3-27. The comedy revolves around a crazy heist plot as a team of misfits break into a warehouse to steal “Star Wars” collectibles.

Gwinnett’s long-running theatrical holiday tradition, “Christmas Canteen” returns for its 18th season Nov. 29-Dec. 22. This nostalgic musical revue has become a local don’t-miss tradition.

“Lombardi” by Eric Simonson is based on the book “When Pride Still Mattered - A Life of Vince Lombardi” by David Maraniss. It runs January 16-Feb. 9, 2014. Few know the real story behind the storied coach who inspired others to do more than they believed they could.

“Don’t Dress for Dinner” by Marc Camoletti runs from May 1-25, 2014. It is a comedic sequel to Aurora’s 2010 hit “Boeing-Boeing.” The play is a story of mistaken identity and confusing peccadilloes.
