Eccentric Argentine painter Leandro Granato   creates paintings from watercolor paints, but it's his technique the fetches thousands of dollars for his art.

He snorts the paint up his nostrils and squirts it out his eyes onto the canvas.

Granato says he can produce short or long splashes of paint, and it takes up to a month to finish some of his paintings. He says the paint is formulated so it doesn't damage his vision.

Because the technique is part of the allure, each painting is sold with a certificate of authenticity and a video showing Granato performing his "eye painting" technique.

Granato claims to be the first artist to perform this technique.  Now 27, he says he has known since childhood that he has "a special connection between my eye and my nose."

To say the least.
