Delta Air Lines said it canceled a total of about 1,000 flights Tuesday due to the Northeast storm.
The Atlanta-based airline said its New York hubs at LaGuardia and John F. Kennedy International airports would have a “limited number of arrivals” Tuesday evening. Delta said it is working with officials to remove snow and treat surfaces.
Flights are set to resume Wednesday morning throughout the region, with about 80 percent of the full flight schedule operating.
Those whose flights are canceled are entitled to refunds. Delta is also waiving certain change fees for travelers scheduled to go to, from or through affected airports through Wednesday.
