Publix Super Markets is voluntarily recalling a fruit and grain salad that might be contaminated with bacteria.

The grocery store chain is recalling its Publix Deli Tri Fruit and Grain Salad with the UPC # 41415-39662. The supplier is Allison’s Gourmet Kitchens, which alerted the retailer.

“No illnesses have been reported to date in connection with this product,” Publix spokeswoman Maria Brous said in a statement. “Consumers who have purchased the product in question may return the product to their local store for a full refund.”

The bacterium is Listeria monocytogenes, which causes the infection listeriosis. The disease primarily affects older adults, pregnant women, newborns, and adults with weakened immune systems. Symptoms include fever, muscle aches and sometimes nausea or diarrhea.

The pre-packaged 12 ounce containers have use-by dates of 4/5/2013, 4/14/2013 and 4/17/2013. Publix has 1,070 stores in Georgia, Alabama, Florida, South Carolina and Tennessee.
