Primerica Inc., a Duluth-based financial services company that split the duties of chief executive officer between two officers, now will turn those duties over to another, longtime executive Glenn Williams.

The company announced Williams, 55, who has been with the company since 1981 and now serves as president, has been named CEO effective April 1.

The role had been fiilled by Rick Williams and John Addison Jr. Williams will become non-executive chairman of the board and Addison will become non-executive chairman of Primerica Distribution.

Peter Schneider has been named president, replacing Williams, who also will join the company’s board of directors.

Primerica, which moved its headquarters to Primerica Parkway in Duluth in 2013, has been based in Gwinnett County since 1985 and is one of the county’s largest employers. The company’s products include term life insurance, mutual funds.
