Fast Park plans to open an off-airport parking lot near Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport’s international terminal, opening up a new option for international travelers.

Cincinnati-based Fast Park said it is building a 1,700-space covered parking facility less than half a mile from the international terminal off I-75. The company said it expects to open the facility by the end of 2015.

The off-airport parking lot called FastPark & Relax will be located near Charles W. Grant Parkway and Airline Museum Way off I-75’s Exit 239, the same exit travelers use to reach the international terminal. It will include 12 electric vehicle charging stations with the option to expand in the future, as well as infrastructure for a large solar panel system, according to the company.

While it’s the first off-airport lot in Atlanta for Fast Park, its parent company Parking Company of America already operates parking lots in the city of Atlanta.
