New distribution facility underway in south Atlanta

A sprawling new distribution facility is under construction in south metro Atlanta.

Clarion Partners and Seefried Industrial Properties are developing the 285,000 square-foot project for PPG Industries, a Pittsburgh-based manufacturer that specializes in paint products.

The center is being built at SouthPark Distribution Center on Interstate 85 in Fairburn, about ten miles south of Atlanta’s bustling airport. It is expected to be completed in December.
