July 1, 2013

A Massachusetts-based real estate firm has acquired the 999 Peachtree Street tower in Midtown Atlanta for $157.9 million, the company said Monday in a news release.

Franklin Street Properties acquired the 28-story tower from Jamestown Properties, developer of Ponce City Market.

The tower’s many tenants include clothing maker Oxford Industries, law firm Sutherland Asbill & Brennan LLP and restaurant Empire State South. It stands at Peachtree and 10th streets near the Federal Reserve Bank of Atlanta and the Margaret Mitchell House.

Franklin Street Properties said the building is about 95 percent leased.
