The Atlanta transit agency will hold a job fair Saturday in hopes of attracting candidates for full-time bus operator positions. Pay starts at $13.68 an hour with a top rate of $19.54 an hour.
MARTA operates 531 full-size buses on 92 routes. The agency currently has 1,115 full-time bus operators and 80 part-time operators. The company is seeking to hire 30 full-time positions.
The interviews will be held from 8 a.m. to noon at MARTA headquarters, 2424 Piedmont Road N.E., at Lindbergh Center Station on the Red and Gold rail lines.
Applicants must be at least 21-years-old and are required to pass tests related to the position, including a physical exam with a drug/alcohol screen and a customer service assessment. They must also bring a resume; valid commercial driver’s license or permit with passenger endorsements; Social Security card or U.S. state-issued birth certificate; High school diploma/GED or higher degree; and an acceptable motor vehicle record spanning seven years.
If you are looking for a career in retail, Dollar General is holding seven job fairs Saturday across metro Atlanta to fill a range of positions, including management. The retailer, which as 56 stores in metro Atlanta, says its part of an effort to fill 10,000 positions nationally during this month.
The Dollar General job fairs will be held from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the following locations:

Villa Rica, 879 W. Bankhead Highway, 78 Shopping Center
