Working off that turkey may be easier this Thanksgiving as another department store says it plans to beat the Black Friday rush by opening on the holiday.
Kohl’s Department Stores announced Monday that it will open at 8 p.m. on Thanksgiving and remain in operation a full 28 hours into late Friday.
“Shopping over the Thanksgiving holiday weekend has become a much-anticipated tradition enjoyed with friends and family,” Michelle Gass, Kohl’s chief customer officer, said in a statement. “As many customers are eager to get a jumpstart on their shopping, we are opening our stores at 8 p.m. on Thanksgiving Day as a convenience to our customers who want to make Kohl’s their first stop.”
The retailer joins Macy’s, which said last week that it intended to open at 8 p.m. on Thanksgiving.
