The metro real estate market last month continued its long trend toward fewer sales and higher prices.
Total home sales for the region dropped 14 percent from July to August, while the median sales price was just barely down, slipping 1 percent, according to a report released Monday by the Atlanta Board of Realtors
Compared with August of 2013, sales were off 7 percent, while the median sales price was up a solid 11 percent, the board reported.
The data was compiled by First Multiple Listing Service.
