The city of Atlanta has terminated the employment of three key public relations representatives for Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport, a spokeswoman for Mayor Kasim Reed said.

John Kennedy, Katena Carvajales and Al Snedeker — who were the principal airport staff working with media and others seeking information about the world’s busiest airport — were terminated by the city, according to Sonji Jacobs, a spokeswoman for the mayor. The former airport employees were not available for comment or declined to comment Friday afternoon.

Jacobs said she will handle media inquiries for the airport “for the time being.” When asked why the three employees were terminated, she said, “We don’t comment further on personnel matters.”
