Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport general manager Louis Miller is leaving his post at the helm of the world’s busiest airport, Channel 2 Action News first reported.

Miller held the role for just three years. The former head of the Tampa airport was hired in 2010 by Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed for a $221,000 salary to lead Hartsfield-Jackson.

Miller’s tenure is considerably shorter than that of his predecessor Ben DeCosta, who led the airport for 11 years.

Miller’s most notable achievement during his time leading the airport has been the opening of the international terminal last year, a major expansion of the airport.

When Reed hired Miller, he emphasized interest in growing air cargo at the airport. However, air cargo has been sluggish due to the economy in recent years.

Miller is also in the midst of completing the airport’s master plan, which is contemplating a sixth runway, additional concourses and other expansions through 2030.
