Coca-Cola has been named the exclusive non-alcoholic beverage provider of the Georgia World Congress Center and Centennial Olympic Park.

The Georgia World Congress Center Authority, which oversees operations of the downtown Atlanta convention center and outdoor attraction, approved on Friday a more than $6 million deal giving Coca-Cola pouring rights for the two sites over the next 10 years.

The Atlanta-based beverage giant has been serving its products at the convention center for three decades, but the new deal spells out marketing and advertising rights and protections as well as interior and exterior signage benefits, according to the agreement. The Georgia Dome, which has a separate contract with Coca-Cola, was not included in the deal.

“The Georgia World Congress Center Authority has enjoyed a long-standing relationship with Coca-Cola for more than 30 years,” said Kevin Duvall, the authority’s chief operating officer. “The GWCCA decided to seek an exclusive beverage provider contract this year as a way to formalize a partnership for our entire 200-acre campus with the inclusion of the Congress Center and Centennial Olympic Park.”

Coca-Cola said in a statement: “Coca-Cola has a long history of partnering with attractions, sites and events in our hometown. The Georgia World Congress Center is one of Atlanta’s hallmark sites and this new long-term relationship ensures that the more than four million visitors who attend hundreds of events there each year can enjoy a refreshing Coca-Cola beverage.”
