Atlanta Hall Management, which is bringing the College Football Hall of Fame to downtown Atlanta, has been given the go ahead to build on Georgia World Congress Center property.

Georgia’s State Properties Commission on Tuesday said AHM had met the terms of a lease agreement to build the facility on the Georgia-owned convention center’s green lot, including raising sufficient funds for construction to begin. John Stephenson, interim chief executive officer of AHM, said work on the building could begin at year’s end or in early 2013.
