Federal grant to help low-income tenants

The U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development is giving Atlanta Legal Aid $360,000 to help housing-aid recipients of in danger of losing their housing.

HUD's Tenant Resource Network helps families who find their landlord is opting out of the Section 8 housing assistance program or fails to met HUD standards.

Atlanta Legal Aid will use the grant to establish a network of advocates to assist Section 8 tenants.
