An Indiana digital marketing company confirmed on Thursday its plans expand its Atlanta operations and add 225 jobs in Buckhead.

ExactTarget is expected to invest $1.25 million in the expansion over the next five years, according to a state news release. ExactTarget provides email and other electronic marketing services. It acquired Atlanta-based startup Pardot last year for nearly $100 million.

Last month, The Atlanta Journal-Constitution reported ExactTarget’s interest in Atlanta. City economic development officials declined to confirm the company’s name at the time, but termed project as a regional headquarters.

The company is eligible for $2.9 million in various state tax credits for jobs created over the next 10 years, according to a state economic development spokeswoman. On Thursday, the board of Invest Atlanta, the city’s development arm, also approved a $200,000 grant for the company.
