Small business and family business awards will be announced during a Thursday event hosted by Atlanta-based Georgia-Pacific and its parent, Koch Industries Inc. Other Atlanta-based sponsors include Delta Air Lines, Coca-Cola and Southern Co. The event is hosted by Nationwide.
Scheduled speakers include entrepreneur and comedian Steve Harvey, filmmaker Reginald Hudlin and NewsOne Now host Roland Martin.
A recent survey of small business owners conducted for Bank of America found 76 percent were confident they would hit their year-end revenue goals for 2014 and 50 percent were confident the local economy would improve in the months ahead.
The Entrepreneurs Summit ends Saturday.
