Three farm business events are being hosted by Cobb County - two in April and another beginning in May.

Farmer's Night Out | April 25, 5-7 p.m.

Hear from different producers about their farm business experiences getting started with sheep, goats, chickens, pork or cattle.

Georgia Farm and Erosion Control Expo | April 29, 9 a.m.-3 p.m.

Jim Miller Park, 2245 Callaway Road, Marietta

The newest in Georgia farm, agriculture and erosion and sediment control products will be presented. Guest speaker will be former Governor Roy Barnes who will share the importance of agriculture and soil conservation activities to local and state economies.

This free event is designed to be informative for farmers, contractors, landscape architects, foresters, engineers, builders, developers, government staff and homeowners. There will be in-depth live-product demonstrations and exhibits about innovations in the farm and erosion control industries.

Cobb County Farmers Market | May 24 through October, 3-7 p.m.

Lost Mountain Park, 4845 Dallas Highway, Powder Springs

The Cobb County Farm Bureau and Cobb County PARKS are partnering to bring this new Farmers Market to Cobb County. Local farmers are invited to sell their produce during these events, which also will feature food trucks, pony rides, face painting and balloons, fire trucks, live music and bounce houses. In addition to produce, vendors may sell eggs, meat, breads/baked goods and jams/jellies/preserved items.
