A new Speedway gas station and convenience store will open in Alpharetta next month, and is still hiring workers.
The Georgia Department of Labor (GDOL) will host a recruitment for Speedway in an effort to help fill those slots. The event will be Thursday, March 24, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the GDOL's North Metro Career Center in the Toco Hills Shopping Center in Atlanta (2943 North Druid Hills Road).
Speedway is recruiting store managers, assistant managers, customer service sales associates, food service specialists, and team leaders.
Pay rates range from $10.50 to $13 an hour for managers and team leaders, depending on experience. Customer sales and food service associates' salaries are $9.50 an hour.
Applicants must be at least 18 years old, have a high school diploma or a General Education Diploma (GED), and be able to lift up to 40 pounds.
