Aug 8, 2013

Gov. Nathan Deal and Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed are expected to welcome homebuilder PulteGroup to Georgia next week during an event at the company’s new headquarters building in Buckhead.

PulteGroup on Thursday said that Deal, Reed and other local dignitaries will meet Aug. 15 with Richard Dugas, the homebuilder’s chairman and CEO, at One Capital City Plaza on Peachtree Road.

The company is expected to occupy five floors in the tower, which stands near Ga. 400 and the Buckhead MARTA station.

PulteGroup, one of the nation’s largest homebuilders, announced in May its intent to relocate from metro Detroit to Atlanta next summer. The company is expected to bring with it about 350 jobs.
