Wood Partners, a multifamily real estate company based in Marietta, announced leadership changes Friday.

Ryan L. Dearborn, formerly president of Wood’s west division, takes over as chief executive and replaces Jerry Durkin, who will remain the company’s board chairman, according to a news release from Wood Partners.

Joseph Keough, who joined the company in 2008 as chief financial officer, will add chief operating officer to his title, the news release said.

The recent moves are part of a succession plan unveiled in 2005, the company said.

Durkin, the former chief executive, will “continue to be a very active leader in the company as he pursues capital sources and business opportunities for Wood,” the news release said.

The company, which was part of the development team on the proposed Trump Towers in Midtown, also experienced a partial ownership change earlier this year. CB Richard Ellis Investors purchased a controlling stake in the company, for an undisclosed amount.
