Atlanta Fire and Rescue is seeking to hire more firefighters and will hold a recruiting event Thursday.
The event will be held at 229 Peachtree St. NE in Suite 300.
Atlanta Fire and Rescue has more than 1,000 employees, including 988 sworn personnel. The employees staff 35 fire stations, including five at Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport.
The department will be accepting applications through April 19.
