A search team has been named to find a general manager for the world’s busiest airport, to replace recently retired leader Louis Miller.
The committee will make its recommendation of the top five candidates for general manager of Hartsfield-Jackson International Airport in March, according to Atlanta Mayor Kasim Reed’s office. Reed will choose the final candidate.
Home Depot chief financial officer Carol Tomé will chair the search committee, which will work with executive search firm Korn Ferry. Tomé also chaired the 2010 search committee that led to the selection of Miller.
The other members of the search committee are Turner Enterprises CEO Taylor Glover, Wells Fargo Southeast president Darryl Harmon, International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers political director Ben Myers, Carter USA president Scott Taylor, Turner Broadcasting System chief HR officer Loretta Walker, Atlanta city attorney Cathy Hampton and Miller, the retired general manager.
During the search, Miguel Southwell, deputy general manager, will continue to serve as interim general manager of the airport.
