Asbury appoints executive to board

The executive vice president and chief operating officer of Asbury Automotive has joined the board of the Duluth company.

Michael Kearney’s appointment brings the board to nine people. Asbury, with 77 dealerships, is one of the largest auto retailers in the country.

Kearney has been with Asbury for 22 years, and was involved in the company’s public offering in 2002. He has a bachelor’s degree from the College of William and Mary and a master’s from Virginia Commonwealth University.
