Arby's Restaurant Group, a subsidiary of Atlanta-based Wendy's/Arby's Group, has chosen a chief operating officer to help improve customer service and spur the brand's turnaround.

Diana Petrovich-Tao, 51, has worked at Burger King Corp. and Mrs. Fields Brands. At Burger King, she was responsible for training initiatives in the U.S. and 70 countries. At Mrs. Fields, she was responsible for 3,800 franchise units across seven brands. She has also worked at Taco Bell Corp. and bottler Coca-Cola Enterprises, among other companies.

Her appointment is a "key component of our turnaround plan, as we work to grow sales and profits by enhancing the Arby’s customer experience," said Hala Moddelmog, president of Arby's.
