Looking for a place to catch fireworks on July 4th in the metro area?
The following events offer a range of fireworks, music, food and family-friendly fun in Atlanta and surrounding counties. Events are subject to change so check-in before you go.
ATLANTA
4th of July Celebration at Georgia World Congress Center: Construction at Centennial Olympic Park has moved this event to the green space bordered by World Congress Center, Mercedes-Benz Stadium and Philips Arena. Gates will open at 6 p.m. and the fireworks show will start at 9:45 p.m. Lawn chairs, coolers, glass containers, pets, personal fireworks, large umbrellas, lawn chairs, tents, grills, and outside food are prohibited. If you don't want to brave the crowd, WSB-TV Channel 2 Action News will offer live coverage.
Fireworks in Fourth Ward-- 4th of July Celebration: This event takes place from 5 - 10 p.m. across the street from Ponce City Market at Historic Fourth Ward Park. There will be cornhole, face painting, food trucks, craft beer and more before the fireworks begin. The fireworks can also be seen from The Roof at Ponce City Market's Rooftop Backyard BBQ, a luau-themed, ticketed event which begins at 5 p.m.
Georgia Aquarium: Red, White and Brew: Get an awesome seat to the fireworks in downtown Atlanta from the parking deck of the Georgia Aquarium when you attend this ticketed event from 7 - 10 p.m. It includes a night of unlimited beer and cider samples, classic BBQ dinner and live music. CHEROKEE COUNTY
Woodstock's Annual July 4 Spectacular: The parade starts at 10 a.m. at Woodstock Elementary School. The festival runs from 11 a.m. - 3 p.m. with fireworks at dusk at the Target Shopping Center (HWY 92 near I 575).
Canton Fourth of July: The fun begins at 5 p.m. with a community parade followed by a concert on the Canton Stage from 6 - 9 p.m. at the Riverstone Shopping Center. Fireworks begin at dusk.
COBB COUNTY
Coca-Cola July 4 Fest at Six Flags over Georgia: Enjoy exclusive ride times, festive foods, and more when you visit the theme park June 30 - July 4. Each night there will be fireworks after dark. Event requires theme park admission ticket.

Marietta on the Square -- Fireworks at Dark: After the Freedom Parade and day long festival, catch the fireworks beginning at 9:30 p.m. just after the performance of Departure, a Journey tribute band.
Acworth's Fourth of July Concert and Fireworks: Enjoy live music starting at 4 p.m. at Cauble Park. At dark, one of the largest fireworks shows in Cobb County takes place over Lake Acworth. Food and drinks will be available from vendors.
DEKALB COUNTY
Decatur 4th of July Celebration: Line up for the Pied Piper Parade at 5:30 p.m. at the First Baptist Church of Decatur. At 7 p.m., a concert begins and fireworks start at 9 p.m.
Chamblee 4th of July Celebration: The event begins at 5 p.m. with a bike parade and cornhole tournament followed by fireworks which begin after dark at Keswick Park Soccer Field.
Fantastic Fourth Celebration at Stone Mountain: The seven-day celebration of July 4th includes a lasershow spectacular and fireworks display which begins each evening at 9:30 p.m. from July 1 - 7.
Sandy Springs Starts & Stripes Celebration: This annual tradition kicks-off at the Concourse Corporate Center lawn on July 4 at 7:30 p.m. with music from the band Shiloh. Fireworks begin at 9:45 pm.
FAYETTE COUNTY
Independence Day Celebration in Peachtree City: The Parade begins at 9 a.m. followed by a family-friendly festival at City Hall Plaza from 5 - 9 p.m. The event includes live music, entertainment, food vendors, and more. Fireworks over Lake Peachtree begin at dusk.
FORSYTH COUNTY
Cumming's July Fourth Celebration: The celebration runs from 10 a.m. - 10 p.m. at the City of Cumming Fairgrounds and includes several eating contests. There is also food, music, kids activities and more. Fireworks begin at 9:30 p.m. after the dance contest.
FULTON COUNTY
Salute to the Red, White & Blue Hometown Celebration in East Point: From 3-11 p.m. enjoy rides, games, food and more. The largest pyro-digital fireworks show in South Fulton County begins around 9:30 p.m.
Roswell July 4th Fireworks Extravaganza: The Extravaganza begins at 5:30 p.m. with food trucks, a kids zone, music and more on the front lawn of Roswell High School. Fireworks start after dark.
Alpharetta's July Fourth Fireworks and Festivities: Visit Wills Park in Alpharetta from 6 - 9:30 p.m. for entertainment, music and fireworks set to begin after dark -- rain or shine.
GWINNETT COUNTY
Star-Spangled Snellville: Enjoy music and fireworks on the Towne Green from 4 - 10 p.m. Fireworks begin at 9:30 p.m.
Gwinnett Stripers vs. Norfolk Tides: Stick around after the Gwinnett Stripers face-off against the Norfolk Tides on July 4 at 7:05 p.m. for post-game fireworks.
Sparkle in the Park: Kick-off a day of fun in Lilburn City Park at 5:30 p.m. with music, food, face painting and more. Fireworks begin at 9:30 with patriotic instrumental accompaniment.
Mall of Georgia's Annual Star-Spangled 4th: MOG celebrates its 16th annual event beginning at 3 p.m. The evening includes music and a fireworks display at 9:30 p.m. to be followed by a screening of "Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle" (PG-13).
