Being overseas with spotty WiFi made posting an ordeal for me. So I missed last night's "Real Housewives of Atlanta" until after I returned to Atlanta. No point in going into any detail about last night's episode at this point but here are three quick takeaways from a more or less pleasant time ending in a spiritual cleanse by the beach.
1- Porsha breaks through with NeNe, not the other women. She decides to leave the Barcelona trip early and NeNe explains that Porsha, despite some individual apologies in the past, has had trouble expressing real remorse to all the ladies over some of the things she's done. She has a tendency to get defensive. Plus, it will take real time for Kandi to forgive her enough that they could be more than barely cordial as they are now.
2- Sheree is kinda shy when it comes to personal stuff. The girls want her to do a sex pic for Tyrone, the jailbird boyfriend. She throws out every excuse in the book but succumbs to Marlo's entreaties. "I get nervous when everyone is standing around and I have to pose," she said. Eva Marcille, Shamea Morton and Marlo Hampton provide way too much advice. Sheree can't accept compliments, saying she looks like "a hot a** mess."
3- Speaking of Tyrone... Many years ago, Sheree and NeNe had a blow up over some event Tyrone was promoting. NeNe got into a tiff with Tyrone about how much she was getting paid vs. Sheree. Sheree did not appreciate that. Sheree and NeNe went at it and afterwards, NeNe chose not to engage Sheree for four years. So every time Tyrone's name gets brought up in connection with NeNe, she gets weirdly super sensitive.
